The Chicken Gold Camp & Outpost offers a relaxing retreat in the historic mining community of Chicken. Located away from the highway but within walking distance of the area's attractions (active goldmine, gold dredge tour, ghost town, saloon, hiking, river recreation, etc).
The park amenities include tables and fire rings, water, dump station, exceptionally clean restrooms, showers, a seperate group area with pavilion and outdoor grill, and WiFi internet/email.
The "Gold Camp" has a cafe serving homemade entries, an espresso/smoothie bar, cabin rentals and a gift shop with local art & crafts. Kayak rentals for use on the Fortymile River are available.
From their adjoining gold mine, the hosts provide pay dirt for gold panning, offer recreational mining and create unique Alaskan gold nugget jewelry and gifts.
