(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
Route Description
Alaska Highway 98 is 15 miles (24 km) long
and runs from Skagway to the British Columbia border.
The highway goes north from Skagway through the White Pass in the Coast
Mountains, somewhat paralleling the route used by prospectors in the 1898
Klondike Gold Rush, before entering British Columbia. It transits British
Columbia for 35 miles (56 km), at which point it enters the Yukon Territory.
